Fornazor International Inc. continues its growth and expansion as its pellet mill in the Midwest completes construction this month.

The new facility will produce 17 percent Protein Alfalfa Pellets for ruminants, poultry, swine and small farm animals.

The pellet mill is currently in the testing phase, and is expected to officially open in June 2009. The mill's potential capacity is 40,000 tonnes per year.

The plant will boost Fornazor's buying power, enabling the company to buy more tonnage and grades of alfalfa from growers. The plant will also help increase market access locally and internationally, as the company will have a new product to offer those that do not feed large double compressed alfalfa bales.

Although the plant's key product will be alfalfa pellets, Fornazor is considering requests for the production of all sorts of custom protein, vitamin, and mineral concentrate pellets.

The new pellet mill operation fits well into Fornazor's programme of trading proteins and terminal operations where the company bag and bulk load product for export shipment in containers.

As Fornazor offers a wide range of commodities for the livestock and aquaculture industries, having its own pellet mill will provide the company more options to meet market needs.

US-based Fornazor International Inc. produces and trades feed ingredients, finished feeds, aquaculture feeds, pet food, equine feeds, bakery ingredients and canned chicken. The company plans to continue developing and manufacturing new products while seeking new global trading partners.
