Vietnam's seafood company reports US$3.48 million sales in April

Vietnam's Ba Ria-Vung Tau Seafood (Baseafood) company said that in April it had shipped more than 1,300 tonnes of seafood worth US$3.48 million.

This raised export turnover in the first four months of the year to more than US$10 million.

The Vietnamese company produces more than 200 high-quality products, including octopus, mackerel, processed seafood, dried squid and canned foods.

Baseafood's exports are mostly bound to Russia, EU, Japan and South Korea. It aims to raise domestic sales by 50 percent by 2010.
