China bans meat and poultry imports from three US companies
China has recently banned imports of meat and poultry from three US processing facilities, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service said.
The companies that are not eligible to export to China until further notice are Swift Pork Co. in Louisville, Kentucky; Mountaire Farms Inc. in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina and Meadowbrook Farms Cooperative in Rantoul, Illinois.
The FSIS also said that meat and poultry products produced at other facilities from raw materials originating from these establishments are also not eligible for export to China.
The recent de-listings bring to 16 the number of US meat and poultry companies banned from exporting to China.
