China frozen chicken exports up in March
China exported 4,348 tonnes of frozen chicken in March, up from 3,770 tonnes in February, according to the Customs General Administration of China. The shipment value in March registered US$6.321 million.
For Q1 2007, frozen chicken export volume totalled 14,002 tonnes worth US$20.403 million, up 6.6 percent and 24.8 percent on-year respectively.
The country exported 1.55 million heads of poultry worth US$3.254 million in March.
From January to March, poultry export numbers registered 4.35 million heads worth US$8.127 million, down 23.6 percent and 6.6 percent on-year respectively.
