Russian '09 grain harvest seen at 100 million tonnes
                            


Russia is likely to harvest 100 million tonnes of grain this year, down from the 108.1 million tonnes harvested in 2008, the head of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlachevsky said in Moscow Tuesday (May 12), as quoted by the union's press office.

 

Zlachevsky also said Russia's grain export in the current marketing year, July 2008-June 2009, will reach 21 million tonnes compared with 13.6 million tonnes in the previous marketing year.
