Russia lifts ban on US live cattle and pig imports
 

Russia has lifted a ban on US live cattle and pig imports, according to the USDA on Friday (May 9, 2008).

Bans on US breeding cattle, cattle embryos, breeding pigs and porkers have also been lifted.

The ban was implemented in 2004 due to cases of mad cow disease.
