Brazil's pork exports for Jan-April at a high of $342.7 million
Brazil's pork exports for January to April rose 95 percent compared with the same period last year to $342.7 million while volume shipped saw a 36.5 percent increase to 182,102 tonnes. Average price over the period was $1,930/tonne versus $1,882/tonne last year.
Shipping volume for April itself was 60,040 tonnes, a never before reached figure. Revenue for the month was at $115.8 million, 106.5 percent higher than in April 2004.
