BASF increases prices for vitamin B2

Press Release

BASF has increased its global prices for vitamin B2 products for animal and human nutrition by 10% as of May 10, 2010.

This price increase is necessary to reflect higher prices for raw materials, the company said.

Furthermore, BASF is to shut down the production of vitamin B2 at its facility in Gunsan, South Korea, during August 2010 a few weeks to conduct its annual routine overhaul. BASF will continue to meet all supply commitments to customers during that time.

BASF produces vitamin B2 (riboflavin) by fermentation.
