Vietnam to build overseas seafood delivery networks
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said on Monday that it will build Vietnamese seafood delivery networks abroad as part of a strategy to develop the country's seafood industry until 2020.
The strategy will require VND67 trillion (US$3.7 billion) to carry out 19 programmes and projects aimed at producing 6.5 million tonnes of seafood and bringing in US$7 billion annually in export revenues in 2020.
The ministry plans to apply advanced technologies for raising, catching and processing seafood and establishing systems to trace origins of seafood products.
