US weekly corn exports above expectations
US weekly corn export sales totalled 1,105.1 million tonnes for the 2005/06 crop year, the USDA reported Thursday (May 11) morning. In addition, 24,000 tonnes of corn was reported sold for the 2006/07 crop year. Analysts had expected sales between 600,000-1.0 million tonnes. The largest sales were to unknown destinations at 191,700 tonnes, followed by Japan at 140,200 tonnes.
