US grain futures down; livestock higher
Grain futures traded mostly lower on Monday (May 10) on the CBOT.
Wheat for July delivery dropped 17.75 cents to US$4.9275 a bushel; July corn slipped 1.5 cent to US$3.705 a bushel; July soy gained one cent to US$9.61 a bushel; and July oats fell 5.75 cents to US$2.0025 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher and pork prices were flat to higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle gained 0.8 cents to 96.70 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 1.05 cents to US$1.1592 a pound; June lean hogs gained 0.33 cents to 85.85 cents a pound; and May pork bellies were flat at US$1.027 a pound.
