Israel lifts ban on Turkish poultry

Israel has lifted the ban on imports of chicken from Turkey, Israeli state minister Kursad Tuzmen announced.

The ban was imposed in 2006 after several cases of bird flu were reported in Turkey.

However, the ban would continue on chicken products and poultry from Diyarbakir and Batman, cities in which bird flu occurred.
