Thai pig farmers stage protest in CPF

About 300 pig farmers rallied at the Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) building, claiming the Thai conglomerate was monopolising the business and cutting pork prices.

They protesters said CPF has caused pig farmers to lose more than 7 billion baht (US$214, 231) because of their price reduction of pork in the past six months.

The protesters gathered at Lumpini park in Bangkok and walked to the building. They put a wreath in front of the building, demanding the company stop expansion, and then reduce the breeding of pigs.
