Brazil's chicken output up 9.3 percent on-year

 

 

Brazilian chicken meat output for the first 6 months of 2007 is expeted to be up 9.3 percent on-year and reach close to 5 million tonnes. 

 

The figures were released May 8 (Tuesday) by a study of agricultural news and analysis portal AviSite on May 8, 2007.

 

The study is based on Brazil's chicken output for the first quarter of 2007 and AviSite's projections for the second quarter of 2007.

 

AviSite also estimated that the country's 2007 chicken meat output would stand at about 10.4 million tonnes, up by more than 500,000 tonnes compared to 2006.
