Pennsylvania disburses US$1.18 million to fund poultry operations

The state of Pennsylvania has handed out more than US$1.18 million in state-financed loans or grants to six poultry-related operations in the state.

Funding for the poultry operations is part of the state's US$13 million drive to diversify and strengthen its economy.

The poultry operators would receive funds to purchase or build items such as duck finishing houses, egg processing buildings, farm purchases, broiler houses and turkey farms.
