Chipotle to serve 100 percent naturally raised chicken

Chipotle Mexican Grill is now serving 100 percent naturally raised chicken in all its restaurants in California, Oregon and Washington.

Chipotle has been serving naturally raised chicken at its Washington, DC outlets since 2002. It has been working with its suppliers and identifying like-minded farms to constantly add to its supply until reaching the goal of serving only naturally raised chicken.

All of the restaurant's naturally raised chicken, pork and beef comes from animals that were humanely raised, never given antibiotics or growth hormones, and fed a pure vegetarian diet with no animal by-products.

Chipotle already serves more naturally raised meat that any other restaurant company in the world.

In total, it will serve more than 52 million pounds of naturally raised meat this year.

Chipotle is also the first national restaurant company in the US to serve only dairy products made with milk from cows that were not treated with the synthetic recombinant bovine growth hormone.

Chipotle offers a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods. It currently operates more than 730 restaurants in the US.
