Vietnam to open eight new seafood factories on robust fish trade

Vietnam will see eight new seafood processing factories to be built in the Cuu Long Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap this year.

Once the factories are fully operational, industry observers said these could bring the province's total capacity of 200,000 tonnes of seafood per year.

Vietnamese seafood producers have so far turned out 56,000 tonnes of seafood products and have earned US$58 million in seafood exports, an increase of 118 percent on-year.
