Ukraine to assist dairy output

In order to support dairy producers from Volyn region, the authority is creating a special programme concerning this issue, according to the Deputy Head of Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Karpyuk.

"The first task is to have better breeding and prevent reduction of livestock. Now there are 30,000 dairy cows in the enterprises, and about 100,000 in individual farms. Unfortunately, when compared with the Soviet figures, this figure has significantly decreased," said Karpyuk.

According to him, besides solving these problems, the regional authorities are also working on the price settlement of dairy products.
