Ukraine's April grain exports reach 2.2 million tonnes
Grain export of Ukraine for April made up 2.2 million tonnes, including wheat by 1.2 million tonnes and corn by 750 thousand tonnes, the press service of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation informed.
Out of the yield for 2008, grain export makes up over 21 million tonnes, having exceeded the majority of forecasts by the main cultures, including wheat - 10.8 million tonnes, barley - 5.8 million tonnes, corn - 4.2 million tonnes.
Total export volume of grain crops and oil-bearing cultures makes up almost 25 million tonnes.
