JBT to supply Charmfre Co. with poultry processing
JBT Corp. has announced that its JBT FoodTech business has signed a US$6.5 million contract to supply poultry processing and freezing solutions for a new poultry processing plant in South Korea.
The contract is signed with Charmfre Co., a Korea-based producer of poultry products, JBT said. JBT said that FoodTech will supply and integrate three full cooking and freezing lines for poultry products as well as two standalone freezers for poultry parts and two Revorack ovens for the cooking of whole ducks.
"We are very pleased with Charmfre's confidence in JBT's leading protein processing and freezing technologies," said Torbjorn Arvidsson, VP and Division Manager for JBT FoodTech's Food Solutions and Services Division. "This project is another excellent example of how JBT FoodTech partners with customers to provide integrated systems to deliver a full range of poultry products."
The order was received in the first quarter of 2011 with the project scheduled to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2012, the Company noted.
