China's fishmeal imports up 79.9 percent in March

According to the General Administration of Customs, China imported 130,760.343 tonnes of fishmeal in March 2005, up 79.9 percent from the previous month.

The March imports came mostly from:

Peru:          93,260 tonnes;

Chile:         23,414 tonnes;

USA:           4,524 tonnes.

From January to March 2005, China's fishmeal imports totalled 269,349.157 tonnes.
