Norway's Aker Seafoods Q1 profit increases 34 percent 

 

 

Norway's Aker Seafoods achieved record profits in its seafood sales the first quarter of this year.

 

Norway's Aker Seafoods raised its first quarter pre-tax profit from NOK 35 million (US$ 5.84 million) in 2006 to record high NOK 47 million (US$7.86 million) this year,

 

Operating revenues increased by NOK 104 million (US$17.4 million) to NOK 709 million (US$118.6 million). The company has benefited from high white fish prices and a rising demand for its products.
