South Africa 2006/07 corn imports rise to 915,142 tonnes

South Africa's yellow corn imports since May last year rose by 52,310 tonnes last week to 915,142 tonnes, the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) showed in its weekly report.

Corn exports rose by 3,898 tonnes to 536,544 tonnes.

Wheat imports since October last year rose by 24,406 tonnes to 278,274 tonnes last week, SAGIS showed in its weekly report.

Exports rose by 5,715 tonnes to 122,384 tonnes.
