Weak China lysine market accumulates 13% price fall

Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending April 30.

The demand for hog feed and hence lysine stayed low while hog farms continued to incur losses. Compared with early February market, lysine prices have dipped by 13% accumulatively.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB11.20-11.90/kg.

Producers will be eager to cut prices to entice buyers amid tough competition.
