Thai private sector sees flu outbreak to provide meat exports boost

Thailand's private sector believes that the current flu outbreak is an opportunity for the country to export more meat to overseas markets.

Dusit Nontanakorn, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, said the general public should not be alarmed over the H1N1 flu outbreak, and that Thailand can use this as an opportunity to increase export values of meat.

Dusit has thus asked the government to help find more export channels to stimulate exports.
