China sees a drop in meat prices
The wholesale price for meat and vegetables in China has decreased since the end of Spring Festival 12 February, 2008, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of China.
The wholesale price of pork has decreased to US$3.24 (A$3.42)/kg, a fall of 7.3 percent compared with the highest price recorded during the festival.
However, the price of aquatic product has kept rising to an average of US$1.66 (A$1.75)/kg, an increase of 3.8 percent, compared with the week ended 6 April.
