Fujian's Shengnong Group to build largest feed plant in China

Fujian's Shengnong Industrial Co. signed an agreement on April 27 with China's biggest feed machine manufacturer--Jiangsu's Muyang Group--for the construction of a new feed plant that would be China's largest.

As part of the strategy of the company, which is aiming to produce 120 million chickens annually, the plant would be designed for a yearly production capability of 720,000 tonnes of feed.

The RMB 80 million plant, to be completed in 2008, would be China's largest.

Established in 1983, Fujian Shengnong is the largest chicken integrator in southern China, with 1,800 employees.
