Ukraine's 2011/12 grain export may beat 21.5 million tonnes
Ukraine is likely to export over 21.5 million tonnes of grains in the 2011/12 season, stated Andrew Druzyaka, Adviser of the chairman of State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, on April 27.
In particular, wheat export volumes are forecasted at the level of five million tonnes, barley - 2.5 million tonnes, corn - 14 million tonnes.
A.Druzyaka reported that in 2011/12 MY the general grain harvest in Ukraine totals 56.7 million tonnes, including milling grains - 23.7 million tonnes, feed grains - 33 million tonnes.
In the future, the annual grain production in Ukraine is estimated at 70-80 million tonnes of grains, the annual exports - at least 40 million tonnes of grains.
