China vitamin E prices consolidate lower

Over the past few weeks, prices were marginally lower.

Prices of vitamin E consolidated lower form the recent hikes, as buyers withheld purchases after securing sufficient supplies.

Price quotes of locally produced vitamin E were slightly lower in the range of RMB102-105/kg.

The export demands for China-produced vitamin products have weakened substantially due to the appreciation of renminbi. This, in conjunction with lacklustre domestic demand due to the cautious mood of buyers, will likely drag vitamin E prices down in the coming period.
