China vitamin C market lacks momentum despite rising aqua feed output

Although aqua feed production continued to expand with the weather temperature rising, the overall demand for vitamin C was limited due to slow hog feed consumption. Hence, vitamin C prices lacked the momentum to strengthen further after early April's slight rise.

Prices of feed- and food-grade vitamin C stayed in the range of RMB23/kg.

With supplies ample and the demand from the livestock sector sluggish, prices will increase modestly at best.
