As more provinces reported human infection cases of H7N9 bird flu, Chinese consumers became more apprehensive about eating chicken. Lacklustre chicken demand continued to drag down the prices of AA broiler. Chick prices dipped further while several broiler farms halted procurements with the disease situation severe.
