Strong renminbi, weak livestock prices curtail China vitamin A demand
Prices moved lower over the past few weeks.
Vitamin A prices were soft during the period in review even though major producers such as DSM lifted price quotes to the range of RMB130-135/kg.
Price quotes of locally produced vitamin A were lower at RMB119-121/kg while actual transacted prices rose to the range of RMB117-121/kg.
Prices are likely to fall as producers attempt to stimulate buying by offering discounts.
