Philippines ceases ban on Australian poultry imports
The Philippines Department of Agriculture has ceased a ban on poultry meat, day old chicks, eggs and semen from Australia.
In a memorandum dated April 4, the ban on Australia's wild and domestic poultry products was lifted since the risk of contamination of local livestock was deemed to have receded, posing no further risk.
The Philippines currently has similar poultry bans in place on the importation of wild and domestic poultry from Taiwan and from the province of Limburg, the Netherlands.
