Russia vends one million tonnes grain in state interventions
Data from an exchange showed late on Thursday (Apr 26) that Russia sold 1.09 million tonnes of grain in eight state intervention tenders this year.
Russia's Agriculture Ministry aims to sell up to two million tonnes of grain during state interventions, which started on April 4.
The government plans to sell grain harvested in 2005, 2008 and 2009 mainly in the South, Northwest and North Caucasus regions of Russia.
