Global animal health and nutrition company, Alltech, has announced two new appointments in the Asia-Pacific region.

Richard Lu joins Alltech as general manager of Alltech Taiwan and Russell Trainor has been promoted to the position of general manager of Alltech Korea.

Richard Lu has over nine years' experience of working in the animal health industry and has held sales positions with several multinational companies in Taiwan. In these roles he specialised in animal health related products, including poultry and swine vaccines, pharmaceutical and feed additive nutritional products. Mr. Lu holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Veterinary Medicine.

An Agricultural Science graduate, Mr. Trainor joined Alltech Australia as commercial development manager for the swine and ruminant industries in July 2007. Prior to joining Alltech, Mr. Trainor worked for an Australian nutrition and premix company, where he held a number of different roles in both sales and marketing focusing primarily on helping customers to select the best nutritional outcome for their livestock.
