Hubbard becomes UK's 2nd biggest broiler breeder supplier
 

Hubbard announced that it has become the second largest broiler breeder supplier in the UK.

The company attributed this success to its strategy set out many years ago. There used to be only two UK-based primary breeders, but Hubbard's focus on product needs, product development and the investments it made by starting up its own production facilities in the UK changed the situation.

Hubbard has been in contact with the main producers and retailers in the UK to understand their specific needs and the trends and developments in the industry, said Paul van Boekholt, the company's director for global marketing.

He added that the UK is a very important market for them as it is the leader in product development and is always at the forefront of animal welfare protection.

Hubbard has been directly involved in the development of the alternative broiler markets, such as organic, free-range and Freedom Food-standards.
