Taiwan's Breakfast Soybean Procurement Association bought up to 120,000 metric tons of soybeans from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Thursday, said a Taipei-based trader who received the tender result.
BSPA bought one cargo of soybeans at 54.98 U.S. cents a bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade July contract for shipment June 1-15 from Brazil. The company bought another cargo at 312.49 cents/bu over the CBOT November contract for shipment June 25-July 9 also from Brazil, the trader said.
Cargill has the option to supply each cargo between 40,000 to 60,000 tons.
