Pakistan To Import 50,000 Tons of Soybean From India
 

Pakistan has imported 50,000 tons of Soybean from India since November 2003 when rail transport between the two countries, the Samiohta Express resumed operation.

 

Pakistan has already imported 9,000 tons of soybean during the past two weeks through railway trade. According to Pakistani traders, about 7,000-tonsof soybean was imported from India during April.

 

Meanwhile, Indian traders said the country would soon export 100,000 tons of soybean to Pakistan in order to meet the consumption, which stands at about 300,000 tons per year.
