2 ADM oilseeds plants to process soybeans

Oilseeds processor Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) is investing to give the company's Enderlin, North Dakota, processing plant the capability to crush soybeans in addition to canola and sunflower seeds. The New York Stock Exchange-listed company will also convert a canola processing line in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to a flex line that can also process soybeans.
"The Enderlin investment will help us capitalize on growing soybean acreage in and around North Dakota, and the Windsor investment will give us the flexibility to adjust our processing mix to optimize the plant's efficiency and profitability", McGowan stated.
He added that both investments "represent important steps in our continuing effort to optimize the core of our business and drive operational efficiencies".
ADM is one of the largest processors of oilseeds in North America, producing protein meal, vegetable oils and other value-added items for customers in the food, animal feed and industrial sectors.
