China methionine prices consolidate higher
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending April 27.
As China's methionine producer continued to halt production, distributors of imported products lifted prices while supply stayed limited.
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market rose to RMB21.50-22.50/kg.
As the markets of egg and broiler stay robust, poultry producers will be encouraged to build inventories, lifting methionine consumption as a result.
