Vietnam's Jan-Apr seafood exports may rise 27.8%
Vietnam is expected to have earned US$1.604 billion from exporting seafood in the first four months of this year, an on-year rise of 27.8%, the government's General Statistics Office (GSO) said Friday (Apr 22).
In April, the country's seafood exports are expected at US$460 million, nearly equal to that in March, the GSO added.
During Jan-Apr, the Southeast Asian country has spent US$126 million on imports of aquatic materials, the statistics showed.
Exports of seafood brought about US$5 billion to Vietnam last year. The country expects the exports to rise to US$5.5 billion this year.
