Japan economic minister can't forecast impact of swine flu

Japanese Finance and Economy Minister Kaoru Yosano said Tuesday (April 28) he can't estimate right now the potential impact of swine flu on the nation's economy, but said the government will do whatever is needed to handle the problem.

"I cannot tell how (the swine flu) will affect the economy at this point," Yosano told reporters at a regular press conference. However, he acknowledged companies are suspending employee business trips overseas.
