Cargill resumes beef exports

Cargill Beef in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, will resume exports to the US and Japan, now that its license has been reinstated.

The company's license was suspended earlier this month after E. coli was discovered in a small number of containers destined for the overseas markets.

Cargill Beef general manager Andrew Macpherson said the company has improved its system of tracking meat from the slaughterhouses and that the incident will not happen again.
