Vietnam's Minh Phu Seafood posts 1Q net profit of US$2.8 million
Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, Vietnam's biggest exporter of shrimp products, Friday said first quarter net profit was VND50 billion (US$2.8 million), up from VND18.93 billion (US$1.06 million) last year.
Minh Phu exported 2,167 tonnes of shrimp products valued at US$22.95 million between January and March, up 25.1 percent on year in terms of volume but down 1.6 percent in terms of value, the company said in a statement.
The company targets to export 16,200 tonnes of frozen shrimp products valued at US$162 million this year.
