Two checked for swine flu in Australia
Two people have been admitted to an Australian hospital with flu symptoms after returning from Mexico and are being checked for deadly swine flu, officials said Monday (April 27).
Queensland state Premier Anna Bligh said the cases hadn't yet been confirmed as swine flu, which has killed at least 20 people in Mexico and sparked fears of a global pandemic.
"We do have two cases overnight of people checking into hospital whose symptoms are being tested," Bligh told reporters. "Clearly this is a very serious disease and we are taking it very seriously."
