Australian airports implement measures to restrict swine flu
The Australian government said Monday (April 27) it has introduced new measures at airports to help restrict the potential spread of swine flu.
From 1400 GMT, all airplanes from the Americas will be required to make an onboard announcement alerting passengers to the disease and report on their passengers' health status before being granted permission to land. Any people exhibiting "flu-like symptoms" will be seen by an Australian quarantine officer on arrival, said Nicola Roxon, the Minister for Health in a statement.
