Argentina's February soy crush down 3.2 percent on-year
Argentina's February soybean crush totalled 1,874,825 tonnes, down 3.2 percent from the 1,936,020 tonnes crushed in February 2006, according to the Agriculture Secretariat.
Argentina produced 358,154 tonnes of soyoil in February, compared with the 372,091 tonnes produced a year earlier.
Soy pellet output in February totalled 1,452,814 tonnes, down from the 1,521,308 tonnes produced a year ago.
The 2005/06 soy harvest totalled 40.5 million tonnes, according to the US Department of Agriculture. Argentina will produce a record 45.5 million tonnes of soybeans from the 2006/07 crop, according to USDA and Agriculture Secretariat estimates.
