China fishmeal imports up in March
China imported 120,381 tonnes of fishmeal in March, up 137 percent from February, and a 56 percent rise from the same period last year.
Imports in March 2007 came mostly from:
Peru: 72,310 tonnes;
Chile: 17,750 tonnes;
Russia: 7,453 tonnes
For the period from January to March 2007, China's fishmeal imports totalled 219,678 tonnes, down 0.5 percent on-year.
