China lysine imports down by 304 tonnes in March

 

 

China imported about 2,105 tonnes of lysine in March, down by 304 tonnes from February.

 

For the period from January to March 2006, China's lysine imports totalled about 7,525 tonnes worth about US$8.987 million.

 

Combined import volume from Thailand and Brazil totalled 955.5 tonnes, almost unchanged compared with February. China imported about 614 tonnes of lysine from South Korea, down by over 500 tonnes from the previous month.

 

Imports from the US reached 400 tonnes, twice that of February.
