Big increase in China's import of methionine in March
China's methionine imports in March totalled about 9,050 tonnes, up by almost 4,000 tonnes from February.
For the period from January to March 2006, China's methionine imports totalled about 17,695 tonnes worth about US$36.584 million.
Combined import volume from Germany and Belgium totalled 4,057.5 tonnes, significantly up by over 2,600 tonnes compared with the previous month.
Imports from Japan totalled about 3,927 tonnes, up by over 900 tonnes from February.
China imported 1,000 tonnes of methionine from France, up by 700 tonnes compared with the previous month.
